Teenager, woman hurt in Woodlawn fire
Two people were injured early yesterday when a home in Woodlawn caught fire, authorities said. Baltimore County fire crews were dispatched to a home in the 3500 block of Essex Road at 2:11 a.m. Otelie Jones, 85, and an unidentified 19-year-old man suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to the hyperbaric unit at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to the Fire Department. Jones was listed in critical condition, while the 19-year-old suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, authorities said. Investigators have ruled the fire accidental.
